Know where your application details go.

A saved application profile can contain more than contact details. It may include work eligibility, salary expectations, career examples and optional equality information. Before reusing those details, understand where they are stored and when another website can read them.

“Stored locally” means this browser

ApplySidekick saves your profile and selected CV in this browser’s storage. They are not stored in an ApplySidekick account or automatically available on another device. Clearing site data, switching browser profiles or using a different domain may mean your saved profile is no longer available. A private browsing session may discard it when the session closes.

Local storage is not the same as application-level encryption. Someone who can access your unlocked browser profile may be able to read your saved information. Avoid leaving a personal profile on a shared computer.

Filling a form shares information with the employer

When you allow the helper to put an answer on an employer’s page, the page and its scripts can read that answer. Some forms autosave before you press Submit. Read the employer’s privacy notice and decide whether you want to share optional details before filling them.

CV attachment is a separate action in V1. In cloud mode, choose Attach saved CV to send it through Cloudflare. With the extension, use the employer’s file picker. Either action may start an upload immediately. Check that you have selected the intended document.

Cloud processing is different from local storage

Cloud mode sends your chosen answers through Cloudflare to fill the remote employer form. It requires your agreement. We do not save those answers or your CV in the application database. The remote browser closes after two minutes per job.

Look at extension permissions

The ApplySidekick helper asks for access to the supported employer sites in your batch. It keeps its working profile in local extension session storage and does not send your answers to the allowance service. Permissions do not make every form compatible; a custom or embedded form can still need manual entry.

Keep exports private

An exported profile is a readable file containing your answers. Save it somewhere appropriate for personal information, and do not attach it to an application in place of your CV. Exported application results can also reveal which jobs you are considering. Delete copies you no longer need.

Delete information when you are finished

Stop and confirm an active batch before using “Delete my local data”. That removes the saved profile, CV and local history while retaining the anonymous allowance identity. Clearing the site’s browser storage also removes that identity. Removing the extension clears its own local records, but not the website’s separate storage or files you exported.

Cloud mode sends your chosen answers through Cloudflare to the employer browser and temporarily keeps job progress for recovery. The extension’s allowance requests contain only identifiers and counts. See the privacy notice for the implementation details and retention policy.
